I have been interested in breeding warmbloods for years now and have done my homework and know what i aim to get from my foals. I have worked on a coloured stud yards and have also imported and sold warmbloods for two years selling to the USA, Ireland and all over the country including scotland and wales.
To me the most important thing is not the stallion but the mares in which i will use and own. I have been waiting along time to come accross mares that i want to own and i want to breed. My mares are young mares and are not breeding stock because they are not good for anything else or they have been injured so they can not be sold for competition. Most of the mares that i hope to have will be mainly young (like wendy) and will be backed and schooled and be bred from for a couple of seasons (until i have got a filly to keep back) and then be sold on to riding/competition homes.
The mares have to have fantatsic temperments as the foal will take most of its temperment off the mare, correct conformation and good paces and ability, and also have superb breeding and most important be a good mum.
The stallions i choose will either be used as they are good up and comming stars in either dressage or showjumping or well know stars like (Nimmerdor or Locarno) or be used as to produce colour conformation and ability.
All foals will be registered KWPN and have all of there breeding recorded. Foal prices will start from £3,500.
Please take a look at the first mare i am getting late 2008.
Wendy x Samber x Ahoy
Wendy is one of the youngest daughters of the KWPN Approved stallion Samber. Samber competed successfully at Grand Prix Dressage and was successful in at Z level showjumping. Samber is the only coloured Dutch Warmblood to have been approved by the KWPN studbook, despite many attempts by coloured breeding enthusiasts in Holland. Many argue that this is merely because the KWPN are not fans of coloured horses whilst the KWPN maintain that there has not yet been another presented that has been worthy of the title.
In 2007 Wendy produced a stunning colt foal, Co-Pilot by the young Trakehner stallion K3 son of K2.
In 2008 Wendy will be put into foal to Mcjonnas a cremello stallion and we are expecting either buckskin tobiano (please see a picture below of this colour) or a buckskin foal.
McJonnas is an athletic horse with good jumping ability from a lineage of performance sport horses. His conformation is correct with three well balanced paces and a very good canter. McJonnas has been fully vetted and x-rayed and is OCD free.
His first foals have delighted clients as he really does produce colour! take a look at these two foals. First foal is buckskin tobiano and second foal is dark chocolate palomino.
